The city’s most iconic sight is the King Hassan II Mosque, which sits partially on the Atlantic Ocean and has the tallest minaret in the world at 210 meters.

It is a relatively new mosque, completed in 1993, and can hold a maximum of 105,000 worshipers at a time, making it the largest mosque in Africa and the fifth largest in the world. Its minaret is surmounted by a laser aimed at Mecca and its elegant facade is in marble. Fortunately for visitors who visit Casablanca, this impressive mosque is one of only two mosques in Morocco that are open to non-Muslims.

The city of Casablanca is the economic capital of Morocco. Its international airport receives the majority of tourists. Located on the Atlantic coast, it has been destroyed several times throughout its history. Its current buildings are mostly quite recent. It is therefore not the flagship destination for travelers who want to discover Morocco. However, it deserves a few days to unearth the treasures hidden there, such as the Hassan II Mosque or its small medina.

The city of Casablanca enjoys pleasant climatic conditions throughout the year. However, the winter months are also the wettest. To enjoy the trip, it is recommended to visit Casa during the months of April, May and October. If you love the heat, the temperature hovers around 30 degrees during the summer months.
